Hi folks welcome to our website of Buckley Farm Kennels. After reading scroll through and look at the rest of our website.
My name is Steve Buckley and I am a avid outdoorsman, squirrel dog hunter, beekeeper, honey producer, Mountain Feist owner, supporter and breeder. I was brought up and raised with these Mountain Feist and reside on the same farm where I was raised. Three generations of my family have raised/hunted our line. They not only used them as sporting dogs but also as dogs to put meat on the table, hence the nick name “MEAT DOGS” that we use. We are proud to say our family has hunted/bred these dogs for over 100 years. We are located in the Appalachian Mountains of Eastern Kentucky and are very passionate about our Mountain Feist dogs. I work full time as a Executive Director in a very busy level 2 trauma hospital. I have spent half of my life working in a hospital setting helping to improve and save lives. All my free time-stress relief is focused on one thing and that is having the best squirrel dogs to step foot in the woods. Every evening, weekend and most of my vacation is spent working my Steve Buckley Appalachian Prick Eared Mountain Feist. I also support the idea of keeping the Mountain Feist Breed close and not crossing with other breeds of dogs.

Here at Buckley Farm Kennels we hunt, breed, raise and train the same line of dogs, although we have outcrossed with a select few lines of Appalachian Prick Eared Mountain Feist to get desired traits we search. With careful linebreeding and outcrosses we have had excellent results that speak for themselves with our dogs. We take pride in our dogs and every dog that we own is hunted. We study and decide carefully on how we make our crosses, whether it be linebred or outcrossed. All our dogs are bred to optimize both sire and dams traits to produce natural tree dogs. We are lucky to hunt and own some of the best Mountain Feist dogs I’ve ever followed and we are known to put a hurt on the squirrel population. We consistently fill tail gates and freezers, we also produce puppies/dogs that are treeing squirrels all over the United States. We raise and sale a few litters of pups each year and take reservations for those litters. We do not run a puppy factory and if you are interested in a well bred, top pedigree puppy that will make a tree dog (MEAT DOG), then give us a call or text at 606-226-0481.
